MY Project USA provides inclusive programs that protect and empower youth while strengthening families and neighborhoods.

Our services include youth leadership and prevention, food access, free healthcare, family and community support, economic mobility, environmental action and opportunities for civic and community engagement.

Programs are open based on program eligibility, not faith, except where a program is specifically designed for the Muslim community.

Mid Ohio Food Market

Our Mid-Ohio Market provides free groceries and fresh food to families and neighbors facing food insecurity. Located at the Hilltop Youth Empowerment Center, the Market operates in collaboration with Mid-Ohio Food Collective and is powered by MY Family Pantry volunteers, the community food-service initiative MY Project USA launched ten years ago.

MY Family Pantry volunteers, including undergraduate student volunteers, help receive, sort, organize and distribute food while supporting one of MY Project USA’s largest direct-service programs. The Market serves hundreds of families each week and is open to eligible community members regardless of faith or background.

Hilltop Free Clinic

Hilltop Free Clinic is a student-driven initiative of MY Project USA providing free preventive care, primary care, screenings, health education and navigation support for eligible uninsured community members.

The clinic operates under the oversight of MY Project USA’s Board of Directors, with guidance from the Hilltop Free Clinic Advisory Board made up of healthcare professionals. A MY Project USA-appointed clinic administrator supervises the medical student and undergraduate volunteer teams and coordinates clinic operations. Licensed volunteer physicians provide medical supervision and patient care.

Together, this structure allows students to gain meaningful community-health experience while ensuring appropriate professional, administrative and organizational oversight.

MY Community Cafe

MY Community Cafe is a community-centered social enterprise located at the Hilltop Youth Empowerment Center. The Cafe supports MY Project USA’s food-access work while MY Soup Kitchen provides free hot meals to neighbors in need, including people experiencing housing instability and other urgent hardships.

Together with the Mid-Ohio Market, these programs help address both immediate hunger and longer-term food access in the community.

Climate Justice Lab

The Climate Justice Lab is MY Project USA’s youth-led sustainability and community-resource initiative at 4004 Fondorf Dr., Columbus, OH 43228. The Lab brings together reuse, recycling, refurbishing, donated-goods distribution, environmental education and hands-on youth leadership in one integrated program.

Led by Climate Justice Warriors with support from MY Project USA staff and community partners, the Lab organizes donated clothing, household goods, furniture and other reusable materials for community distribution, reuse, repurposing, recycling and responsible resale when appropriate.

The Climate Justice Lab now encompasses the work previously associated with MY Deah’s Warehouse and the former thrift-store model. All donation collection, drop-off information, reuse activities and related store functions should now be presented under the Climate Justice Lab name.

MY Leaders Lab

MY Leaders Lab develops compassionate, community-minded young leaders through hands-on service, leadership development, advocacy and real-world projects. Young people learn to identify community needs, work in teams, lead initiatives and turn ideas into action.

The Lab serves as an umbrella for youth-led initiatives including MY Wellness Warriors and Climate Justice Warriors. Individual initiatives may have specific eligibility requirements.

MY Pathways
'REACHING FOR SKIES'

We provide Vocational Help to underprivileged refugee and immigrant adults and youth in getting equal job opportunities through a variety of resources i.e. Resume Building, Cover Letter Writing, Career Guidance, Interview Preparation, Online Work Profiles, Professional Styling & ESL Classes. We focus on expanding their employability skill sets, English language proficiency, job market awareness, and personal grooming. We also offer Conversational English Language Classes for youth and adults.
